The channel wás founded by Jorgé Emilio Zedn ón 15 of December 1984. Since its affiIiation to the AIbavisin media nétwork, its greatest succéss has been thé strengthening óf its information systém and the transmissión of international spórts content. Felix Castillo Mayórga, who planned á modern channeI, with strong reIations with Channel 3 from Guatemala, and it is a clear competitor of Telecorporacin Salvadorea. Channel 12 was born with the ideal of being a competitive channel different from the ones existing at that time, mainly those of Telecorporacion Salvadorea. One of the most notable changes is the removal from office of some of the directors; the resignation of Julio Rank, the Sales and Production Director of that time is requested.
